ISM DBA alumnus and PhD candidate Onyeka Uche Ofili presented a paper at the 9th International Scientific Forum on 23 November in Cambridge, United Kingdom. The paper is titled " Intellectual Property Rights Protection and Economic Development: The Case of Nigeria.” This paper “seeks to know whethertightening intellectual property rights protection in a typical developing country such as Nigeria can indeed promote innovation, attract foreign direct investment and invariably spur economic growth.” He also concludes this article emphasizing that “for Nigeria, to therefore to effectively take advantage of the potential benefits of IPRs protection it must first put in place the right policy framework that will help boost its economic and technological standing.” To read the full article, click here.
