Professor Bernhard Koelmel has co-authored a paper titled "Exploring Innovation Success Factors and Strategies for B2B Platforms in the Manufacturing Sector in Germany," recently published in the Journal of Modern Economy and Management (Issue 3, 2024). The study focuses on the critical role of B2B platforms in driving the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Germany's manufacturing sector. By analyzing best practices, conducting in-depth interviews, and reviewing relevant literature, the research identifies the key factors that contribute to the adoption of B2B platforms and the challenges that hinder their integration. The paper offers strategic recommendations for SMEs to leverage the transformative power of B2B platforms, highlighting the importance of overcoming barriers such as high implementation costs and trust issues. This work provides valuable insights for both academic research and practical applications in digital innovation.
